Mark your calendar! Bangkok’s most anticipated lighting installation festival, Awakening Bangkok, is slated for a spectacular return to the historic Phra Nakhon district from December 12-21, 2025.

“LOVEVERCITY” is the compelling new theme of this year’s eye-popping artworks and immersive experiences, designed to spark the spirit of love and festivity in the cool December air.

Be ready to explore familiar neighborhoods like Pak Khlong Talat, Yodpiman River Walk, and Sam Yot, along with several brand-new routes! These include the Praisaniyakhan (Thailand’s inaugural postal office at Memorial Bridge/Phra Phuttha Yodfa Bridge), The Old Siam Plaza, Saphan Han, and Ong Ang Canal in Wang Burapha.

While there won't be live music showcases for the 2025 edition, we're keeping the fun of hopping around the festival alive with free tuk tuk shuttles to help you get from spot to spot with no hassles.

Awakening Bangkok 2025 runs from December 12 until December 21, with installations lighting up the city nightly from 18:00 to 23:00.

This year's event received generous support from Mitsubishi Electric, SangSom, Homprung by Baihor, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), The Old Siam Plaza, Yodpiman River Walk, Yodpiman Market, and AMA Hostel.
