Lumpini Park has officially joined the city's growing network of animal-friendly zones, marking the ninth public park in Bangkok to offer a dedicated space for pets. This new addition allows dog and cat owners to enjoy the urban greenery without the constant restriction of a leash.
Developed as part of the park’s broader improvement plan, Lumpini Dog Park covers a 2-rai area (approximately 3,200 square meters). The space features a serene Japanese-style garden, the result of a design collaboration between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce.
The park is designed as a sanctuary where pet owners and their four-legged friends can unwind and exercise together. While the main draw is the freedom for pets to run off-leash, the space is also thoughtfully divided into sections based on the size of the animal. This ensures a controlled environment where pets of all temperaments can socialize and play safely.
