Lately, Bangkok has seen a resurgence in the appreciation for Khon performances, with locals and visitors of all ages flocking to Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre for shows. And we’re so happy to share great news that a major spectacle is coming to town later this year.

Bali's Unbreakable Oath is an upcoming Khon performance set to make a grand debut at the Thailand Cultural Centre this November for a two-month run.

The show is hosted by the SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, a renowned advocate for traditional Thai dance. This traditional dance-drama, based on Thailand’s literary epic Ramakien, has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.

In Bali's Unbreakable Oath, you'll witness a great war between the epic's greatest villain, Thotsakan, and a heroic troupe featuring Bali, Sukhrip, and Phra Ram. The story begins as Thotsakan disguises himself as a giant crab to sabotage a holy ritual, which is followed by a dramatic family conflict between Bali and Sukhrip.

The live performance of Bali’s Unbreakable Oath promises a true spectacle with a gripping storyline, jaw-dropping choreography, uplifting classical Thai music, and impressive production and stage design.

The show is scheduled to premiere at the Thailand Cultural Centre on November 6 and will run until December 8. Tickets are now available via Ticketmaster, with prices starting at B600.
