Central Park, Bangkok’s newest shopping center, opened on September 4, bringing fresh vibes to the corner of Silom. Here’s what might make it the city’s new sweetheart.
This new lifestyle center spans eight floors and is all about food. At a glance, there are more than a hundred places to try — from street-style stalls to first-ever restaurants in Thailand. Highlights include Downtown by Fran, a collab between Chef Chalee Kader and Pla Iberry, who also adds her new Southern Thai restaurant Bura Marie to the food row, plus Maison Roru and chicken rice spot Toh Kim. Making their Thailand debuts here are Japan-born teppanyaki house Kiwamiya, Hangzhou-hailing Long Jing fusion restaurant, Seoul’s Cheongdam Garden grill, and Super Matcha. The LG floor food court is packed with affordable options, including Michelin-recommended street eats.
Besides %Arabica, which greets you at the entrance, your caffeine lineup includes Bottomless, Beans, 32 Bar, The Summer Coffee, and Ve/la — enough to keep you awake all month without repeating. There’s also a walkway to the adjacent Dusit Thani Bangkok’s Dusit Gourmet coffee shop, perfect when you’re in the mood for quieter ambience and good pastry.
There’s a free-access rooftop park offering expansive views of Lumphini Park. The park, named Surit Aroon, features a 750-meter natural walking trail winding through greenery and creative waterfalls. A stepped platform makes a perfect spot for viewing the city skyline.
It’s right next to both BTS Sala Daeng and MRT Si Lom — making it one of the easiest lifestyle centers in town to reach.
