Fans of banoffee should be absolutely thrilled by the arrival of Jo’s Banoffee in Song Wat, Bangkok. This hugely popular no-bake pie purveyor from Thailand’s northern capital is soon to launch its own shop in the now-very-hip neighborhood.
For those unfamiliar with the name, Jo’s Banoffee is the crowd-pleasing project run by Nattawat “Jo” Tantayanusorn. He began his sweet business as an online store during the 2020 Covid era. Following an amazing reception, he opened a physical shop in Nimman that has quickly become a mandatory pitstop for the city's sweet tooth community.
What makes Jo’s banoffee such a fan favorite is the presentation: the cute little jars clearly show off the mouth-watering layers of ingredients, including banana, dark chocolate, caramel, whipped cream, and the biscuit base. Beyond the original banana-slash-toffee delight, the store is also known for other luscious goodies like their cream caramel buns.
As for the upcoming shop in Song Wat, Jo has secured a fantastic spot in an age-old building affectionately nicknamed the Fruit Building. This particular site adds a layer of cultural depth, as it was historically renowned for being a thriving community of handcrafting artists back in the era of King Rama V.
Stay tuned for the official launch date. We’ll keep you posted!
