


The Vijit Chao Phraya, the spectacular light and sound showcase organized by The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), is confirmed to go on starting November 9, despite the country's official mourning period for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother.
Initially scheduled to begin on November 1, this year's riverside event has been shortened to run for only 37 days. Organizers have also toned down the festivity, including the cancellation of all firework displays, in order to show respect and align with the national sentiment at the moment. The 2025 theme has been adjusted to “Light of Siam – Mother of the Land” as a direct tribute to the late Queen Sirikit, who passed away on October 24, 2025.
Vijit Chao Phraya 2025 will take place across 14 major landmarks on both sides of the Chao Phraya River. Replacing the canceled firework displays is a series of drone performances inspired by the Queen Mother.
