16 Dec 2025

The 2025 chapter is rapidly approaching its end with a fantastic festive spirit in the air. Let’s make this holiday season in Bangkok extra special with a fun get-together with your friends and family at one of these nine incredible new openings!

This December brings an unmissable culinary variety to the city. We’ve scouted the latest additions, and they offer everything: whether you crave a wholesome ramen place from Japan, a Chiang Mai-born coffee crowd-pleaser, or Hong Kong’s legendary juicy bun shop. This is your definitive guide to the best new spots to eat, drink, and celebrate before the year is out.

Kayaki

You won't believe there’s a medium-rare option for grilled fish until you taste it yourself at this new restaurant in Central Embassy! Kayaki specializes in Yakizakana, the Japanese tradition where fish is lightly seasoned and grilled to perfection, typically served simply with rice and miso soup.

Here, you can try this Japanese staple in an omakase manner, where chefs grill the fish right in front of you and serve it course by course, much like a sushi experience. For beginners, we highly recommend the Kayaki Tenkai set (B1,290++), which comprises fish and seafood served over seven courses. It’s the perfect place if you love high-quality fish or just want to treat your body to a healthy, exquisitely prepared meal.

Pizza might seem like a non-brainer when you don't know what tickles your fancy, but this Italian staple from L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is a serious culinary deal.

The current winner of the 50 Top Pizza Guide in 2025, the Da Michele chain has finally landed its first Thai location on the fifth floor of Siam Paragon. It serves the authentic Neapolitan style that has been globally loved for over 150 years.

Their signature, the Diavola (B560), is one we are dying for you to try. Despite the simple, classic look of a Margherita, the tomato sauce is intensely delicious and pairs perfectly with the melted mozzarella cheese and spicy salami.

Finally making its debut in the Thai capital, Hong Kong’s legendary Cheung Hing Kee is now churning out its much-loved Sheng Jian Bao, or Shanghai-style pan-fried buns, on the first floor of Central Chidlom in the Public Market zone.

This Bib Gourmand-recognized chain is celebrated for its uber-juicy filling and wrappers that feature exactly 18 perfect creases on every single bun. Apart from the classic soup-bursting pork buns, the highly coveted black truffle flavor is also a massive hit that you absolutely need to try. A box of six assorted buns is available for B300.

With its new, expanded location in Ekkamai, Yume Ramen has truly found its stride after extensively experimenting with recipes and ingredients to craft the best bowls of noodles for Bangkok foodies. The result is exciting new signature offerings that utilize premium ingredients, such as the Yume Shio Ramen—which packs an umami hit from clam and prawn wonton—and the refreshing Kaisen Cold Somen, perfect for a hot day in the city. Don't miss the innovative A4 Kuroge Wagyu Ramen, which draws inspiration from classic Thai boat noodles.

The larger space at this new location also means more dishes are on the way, with the restaurant promising a full izakaya menu for evening service very soon!

Celebrated Chef Wongwich “Ack” Sripinyo (the talent behind Bangkok’s in-demand Sri Trat) has embarked on a new venture at Siam Paragon with Sri’s Room. Although this is Ack’s first restaurant in a shopping mall, it beautifully exudes the well-known Sri Trat atmosphere, making you feel like you are dining in a gorgeous, vintage room inspired by 1970s Bangkok.

The food still embraces the bold and distinctive Eastern Thai sensibilities, but with a modern, thoughtful take that slightly diverges from the original restaurant’s classic menu. The result is a vibrant, sophisticated menu of over 70 dishes. And a little bird told us that the upper floor is currently being renovated for an intimate, seasonal chef’s table experience.
