Ahead of the big announcement of 2025’s version of the World’s 50 Best Bars, the globally-renowned award has revealed the extended 51-100 list—and we’re so proud to see two of our favorite boozers earn a spot there.

Everybody, say congratulations to Dry Wave Cocktail Studio and Opium Bar! This year, these two bars have earned a spot at number 88 and 92 respectively. It’s their first time getting a nod from the 50 Best critics as well!

Dry Wave Cocktail Studio is Thonglor’s current obsession drawing the city’s drinking connoisseurs to try the bar’s unique concoctions that blend classic and modern recipes supervised by highly regarded Thai mixologist Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana.

Opium Bar is no stranger to the drinking scene in the Thai capital. Located on the top floor of Chinatown’s Michelin-starred restaurant Potong by Chef Pichaya “Pam” Soontornyanakij, it’s the extension of the restaurant’s backstory of the chef’s family-owned Chinese herb shop to an array of creative cocktails.

Earlier this year, it was unveiled that seven bars in Bangkok earned a spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, including Dry Wave Cocktail Studio (number 5), BKK Social Club (number 19), G.O.D BKK (number 26), Vesper (number 28), Opium (number 43), and Bar Sathorn (number 48).

On October 8, 2025, the full list of the World’s 50 Best Bars will be announced from Hong Kong. Stay tuned with us for the announcement!
